About me

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved the ocean and been fascinated by the colours and magic of the coast.

Growing up, I studied art in school and later interior design in college—though I never quite found a way to use those skills in my career. But that love of creativity never went away.

Last year, after an illness I decided to leave my job in administration and finally pursue something truly fulfilling. I started by taking classes in Alcohol ink and was captivated by the vibrancy of the colours and fluidity of this medium and it’s endless possibilities. I love how no two pieces are ever alike, each one a tiny piece of art, and I started to incorporate them into jewellery ans my first collection was born.

Around the same time, a friend—a jeweller herself encouraged me to explore silversmithing. One class was all it took—I was hooked and realised that this was what I wanted to do.

Looking for direction in my jewellery making I was drawn to my large collection of sea glass, amassed over 35 years, each piece a story smoothed by time and waves. This inspired me to create my first silver collection incorporation these beautiful pieced some more than 100 years old and part of our social history.

Continuing my theme of inspiration taken from the sea. I am currently also working on some different designs inspired by the rugged cliffs of our coastline, and islands.  This collection will soon be on my website too.

My use of sea glass and alcohol ink compliment each other in their draw on nature for inspiration. Now, I create jewellery that blends my love of the ocean and natural materials with the organic beauty of abstract painting.

I live in Sheffield with my husband, son Ben and our two dogs Archie and Ralph. I travel to the coast as often as I can and Cornwall -especially St Ives is my favourite place in the world.
